Retail Store Assistant
£12.71 per hour + benefits

Working hours: Part time 6 hours per week – Sundays

What will I be doing?
- Oversee the running of the shop on a Sunday, including taking keyholder responsibility (training provided) and supporting a talented and diverse team of volunteers.
- Assist the wider shop team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
- Review and process donated goods and new stock.
- Come up with creative ideas to help generate new income, with guidance from the Shop Manager.
- Use customer service skills to ensure customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
- Maintain shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.
- Perform a varied amount of manual handling and physical activity required within day‑to‑day duties.
What are you looking for?

- Adaptability in changing situations, including working effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Commercial awareness.
- The ability to create relationships and communicate well.
- Flexibility, with a rota basis across the retail teams. Flexibility is needed to meet business needs while maintaining work–life balance.
