Job Summary
To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
- Day‑to‑day vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness—including lights, brakes, coolant etc.
- Report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
- Maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with its cleanliness.
- Ensure sufficient fuel quantities for the day’s work.
- Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
- Check all orders shown on the drop sheets and confirm all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
- Collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and return them to the branch as instructed.
- Deal with damages/breakages promptly and correctly, respecting special procedures for HazChems.
- Always maintain a smart appearance.
- Help maintain good customer relations.
- Support other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by Management.
- Meet all Health & Safety requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
Essential
- A full driving licence relevant to the vehicle. Assessment of licence points may affect short‑listing; a clean licence is not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer care.
- Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
Desirable
- Previous multi‑drop delivery driving experience.
- Route‑planning experience.
