Role overview
You’ll be designing, developing and carrying out robust, independent risk‑based audits with a focus on the Home/Household Supply Chain. This is to provide assurance that customer outcomes are fair and reasonable and their expectations are achieved, that regulatory practice is being adhered to, technical claims best practice is operating with appropriate outcomes being delivered and that any leakage or other financial risk is effectively managed. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that suppliers are actively performing and complying with contractual goals and SLAs.
Job details – you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in:
- Accountable for the control and analysis of Supplier audit outcome data, sharing, reporting identified trends, recommending data‑driven solutions to stakeholders, supporting improvements and outsourced operational efficiencies within supplier firms.
- Developing a complete understanding of all internal and supplier claims processes, new commercial initiatives, best practices and the impact of inefficient processes or poor outcomes on customer journey, leakage, other financials and fraud.
- Designing and developing relevant and effective audit approaches, capturing mechanisms which are flexible in nature to accommodate changing business needs and to allow us to capture, monitor and measure performance.
- Managing relationships with senior stakeholders within each supplier, ensuring scoping, attendance, agendas and feedback are delivered effectively and ensuring effective communication of results.
- Completing both on‑site and remote risk‑based audits – able to interpret and apply technical knowledge to contract builds and terms to develop relevant audit questions and deliver independent, balanced, accurate and evidence‑based reporting.
- Completing and applying root cause analysis, including assessment of Systems and Controls, Complaints (including FOS) and identifying areas for indemnity savings, strengths and development areas and providing focused solutions.
Essential skills/experience
- Strong audit experience within the supplier/supply chain space in a regulated environment such as insurance, financial services etc.
- Strong analytical skills – able to interpret MI and identify areas of risk and opportunity and communicate them clearly to a wide range of stakeholders; strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are a must.
- Coaching ability is highly advantageous to ensure we’re developing our own internal teams as well as within the external supply chain.
