We provide insurance to over four million customers and are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Data team. You will play a key role in unlocking value through data‑driven decision making and supporting complex, business‑critical initiatives.

What you will do

  • Translate complex business needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements.
  • Work closely with developers, architects, and QA to ensure solutions are feasible and well understood.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions are clearly communicated back in business terms.
  • Support end‑to‑end traceability from business objectives to technical solutions and test validation.
  • Analyze and document data flows, APIs, integrations, and service interactions.
  • Contribute to solution design by understanding architecture diagrams and technical intent.
  • Ensure solutions consider resilience, scale, performance, and regulatory compliance.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into actionable requirements and present solutions clearly.
  • Co‑operate with developers and technical leads to validate feasibility and clarify delivery details.
  • Support solution architects in reviewing and challenging design decisions.
  • Partner with QA teams to ensure requirements support effective testing.

What we are looking for

  • Strong experience translating business requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Ability to manage complex, competing stakeholder needs.
  • A naturally curious and analytical mindset focused on understanding root cause.
  • Excellent communication skills across both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Proven experience documenting complex processes, integrations, and system behaviour.
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems, data flows, and integration points.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced, agile environments.

Technical & Domain Experience

  • APIs, integrations, and data services.
  • Microservices and distributed systems.
  • Data flow analysis and traceability.
  • Working with technical teams on solution delivery.
  • Experience with the Guidewire ecosystem (Nice to have).
  • Exposure to event‑driven or service‑oriented architectures (Nice to have).

Core Technical Understanding

  • API & integration skills – understanding structures, payloads, error handling, and JSON payloads.
  • Microservices & architecture – service boundaries, orchestration vs delegation, downstream impacts.
  • Data & journey understanding – data persistence vs transient enrichment, data evolution across journeys, phase‑based behaviour.
  • Non‑functional thinking – error handling, fallback strategies, performance, resilience, scalability, logging, auditability, data retention.
  • Cloud & platform literacy – Azure‑based microservices, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, Kubernetes, interpretation of solution architecture diagrams.
