Office Location: London

Department: Finance

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. We are happy to consider agile and flexible working patterns. Our approach to hybrid working allows for up to 40% of time working from home and 60% working in the office.

Role Overview: We are seeking a Legal Project Manager to provide dedicated support to a class action litigation group of matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between legal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project plans, timelines, and workflows.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Allocate and manage resources, including personnel and budget.
  • Conduct regular meetings with legal team members to review project status and address any issues.
  • Prepare detailed project status reports and updates for senior management and clients.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and updates for senior management and clients.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues affecting project milestones.
  • Liaise with other business services teams (Pricing / Finance / IT / Knowledge / Marketing and Business Development) to support the partners and clients.
  • Coordinate with third parties and service providers as needed.
  • Utilise project management software and tools to track and report project metrics.
  • Review and analyse data to assess project performance and areas for improvement.
  • Support legal team in drafting, reviewing, and finalising project-related documents.
  • Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts for legal projects.
  • Ensure proper documentation and archival of all project-related materials.
  • Develop and implement best practices and methodologies for legal project management.

Skills & Experience:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credentials preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience, preferably in a legal environment.
  • Strong understanding of legal processes, terminology, and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical skills required include 3E, PowerBI (or comparable business intelligence software), HighQ, Collaborate, MS Project, Smartsheet, and high proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Deep knowledge of law firm management metrics, and how day-to-day legal practice interacts with those metrics.
  • Experience with budget preparation and financial management.
  • Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement project plans and strategies.
