For our Tekla Software Support Consultant role, we are seeking someone with experience working in structural or civil engineering. Someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge and wishes to upskill, to effectively become a Tekla Structural Designer and Tedds superuser. A professional who our clients' structural and civil teams can work with to complete complex projects using our Tekla products.
To be successful in this role you will have a background in structural/civil engineering and want to move into construction software support and development. This is not a call centre; this is a team of structural and civil professionals working together to help our clients get the best out of Trimble’s Tekla software suite. This is not an IT support role; knowledge of civil/structural engineering is essential. Our customers use our software to detail everything from farm buildings to iconic structures across the UK and national infrastructure projects.
What You Will Do:
- Delivering high level technical support to the users of our Tekla software.
- Speaking to customers on the phone, by email or answering questions on our forums.
- Creating, updating and delivering training courses either in our Leeds based training centre or at sites around the UK/Ireland.
- Building our knowledge base by writing technical support content to Tekla User Assistance site.
What skills & experience you should bring:
- Professional experience of using Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Tedds.
- Have a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent, from an accredited University.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and proven aptitude to learn new software and technology tools quickly.
- Ability to produce clear and structured texts.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Utilise excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Well-organised, self-directed team player.
- Remains open to others’ ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things.
