Ameresco UK have a unique combination of energy industry, trading, and financial expertise that ensures we bring a multi-disciplined approach to the optimal procurement, planning, and ongoing management of energy costs, usage, and associated carbon emissions. Ameresco Leeds have placed over 2,000 energy contracts worth in excess of £1 billion with 35+ suppliers on behalf of nearly 200 clients. We focus on a small number of high-value industrial and commercial clients with a considerable energy spend.

Role Scope:

  • This is a pivotal role reporting directly to the ESM Director.
  • It acts as an interface between strategic clients and their complex requirements, ensuring that Ameresco deliverables are met to the highest possible standard.
  • Providing insights and analysis of the global wholesale energy markets.
  • Leading client risk management meetings and providing forward buying recommendations.
  • Leading the fortnightly wholesale market webinars.
  • Liaison with suppliers.
  • Strategic account management of nominated major clients.
  • Consultancy and commercial modelling for the energy management consultancy projects.

Role Duties:

  • Ensure risk management activities are completed to a high standard.
  • Ensure client risk management meetings are conducted in a professional manner.
  • Ensure Ameresco are fully briefed on supplier product offerings.
  • Delivery of complex energy management consultancy projects.
  • Strategic client account management.
  • Energy industry analytical work where required.

Experienced in:

  • Energy Risk Management.
  • Energy Supplier contract product offerings and the operation of different supplier contracts.
  • Strategic client management.
  • Handling team and managerial queries in a complex business environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple workstreams and activities.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant industry knowledge.

Personal Attributes:

  • The candidate must be a self-starter who can identify priorities within the business – there may be periods without close supervision.
  • The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident, and have a flexible approach to work.
  • They will be customer-focused, passionate about energy efficiency and renewable energy.
