Education required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Engineering discipline with a focus in Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy or Chemistry.
Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship.
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English.
Internship period: January to June 2027.

What will you do?
- Support lab productivity and efficiency through waste removal, process flow review, digital application of lean tools, and setting up a Kanban/inventory control system for consumables and reagents.
- Identify opportunities to embed green procurement practices.
- Map current lab process flows, identify waste (NVA steps, delays, handoffs) and propose value stream improvements (for example in Chemist lab and Micro lab).
- Pilot and configure an online application (e.g., Migration of lab system and moving to digital scheduling tool) to capture analytical data and standard work.
- Working with Green Lab team to promote Green Initiatives for the QC laboratory and office and to recommend greener alternatives (reusable items, low-waste packaging, consolidated suppliers).
- Support other lab projects.
What will you learn?
- Execute lean lab identified projects (lab rejuvenation, micro lab standard work, reduced testing, online testing program etc.) to achieve productivity gain.
- Exposure to supporting process map and 3 prioritized Kaizen opportunities.
- Working prototype of online tracking application and user guide.
