TOCA Social is the world’s first dining and entertainment experience with a football twist, and it’s set to change the game! Our first venue opened in 2021 in The O2, London and our second in Birmingham in 2024. We are also set to open in Westfield London, Dallas and Mexico in 2025! At TOCA Social, Everybody Plays! Job Highlights

- Reports to: Head Chef
- Hours Required: Minimum of 15 hours per week. Candidates must be flexible to work evenings and weekends.
The dynamic role of a Kitchen Captain means no 2 days are the same at TOCA Social! You are responsible for bringing together multiple elements of our guests’ journey together to deliver memorable experiences, whilst supporting and developing your own team.
Role Scope & Responsibilities
- Cooking & Food Standards: Prep and cook dishes to spec, making sure everything that leaves the pass looks great and tastes even better. Consistency is key – from portion sizes to presentation.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Lead by example when it comes to cleanliness and food safety. You’ll help make sure the team sticks to all hygiene, HACCP, and health and safety standards, every shift.
- Controlling GP & Reducing Waste: Help keep food costs in check by sticking to portion controls, minimising waste, and using stock effectively. You’ll work with the Head Chef to meet gross profit targets and keep the kitchen running smart.
- Team Leadership: Support, train, and supervise the kitchen crew. Whether it’s getting new starters up to speed or helping run a tight ship on a busy night, you’ll be a key player in the team. You will be a key player in coaching teammates and providing constructive feedback when appropriate. You will also lead new opportunities/ initiatives, encouraging teammate support.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assisting with TOCA Talent events to recruit the best talent and make sure they receive the correct training and are compliant.
- Stock & Ordering: Keep an eye on stock levels, make sure we’re not over-ordering or running out of the basics. You’ll assist with weekly stock checks and ensure proper storage and rotation to cut down on waste.
- Problem Solving: Be ready to jump in when things don’t go to plan – whether it’s a kitchen issue, a customer complaint, or a missing delivery, you’ll help find fast, practical solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- A confident and outgoing team player with 1-2 years supervisory experience within hospitality, or at least 6 months of experience as a senior teammate at TOCA Social.
- Passion and love for food, drink to provide memorable experiences for our guests.
- A punctual and reliable individual with a great attitude and work ethic.
- The ability to thrive under pressure whilst maintaining a can-do and guest first attitude.
- A hands-on individual who’s willing to support the team and venue leadership.
- Someone passionate about developing themselves and teammates to deliver outstanding experiences.
- Flexibility to work across evenings and weekends.
- A willingness to support teammates across the venue and in varying departments where necessary.
- A sense of pride in your work and the work of your teammates to exceed guest expectations.
