We are recruiting for a Part-time Yard Sales Advisor based in our thriving Kilmarnock branch! At Jewson, part of Stark UK, we believe that our greatest asset is our people! This is a part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) role based in Kilmarnock, Queens Drive, working Monday and Tuesday 7:00 – 16:00, and Saturday from 08:00–12:00. In late Spring, the hours will increase to meet the branch’s demands.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service.
  • Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers' current and future requirements so we can support all their needs.
  • Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor.
  • Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles.
  • Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required.
  • Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided).
