The Role

As a Project Planner you will enhance the delivery of complex and interesting projects worldwide by devising strategies and tactics to improve project delivery. You will translate knowledge into a logic‑linked plan, analyse it using planning software, and use the plan to help teams prioritise.

Your Team

Your role is part of the Project Management Consultancy team, focusing on understanding real project problems, implementing best solutions, and developing scalable best practices, tools and technology. You will work within the Project Planning Team, led by a planning discipline director.

Your Top Five Responsibilities

  • Own the plan: Own the project plan for one or more projects and ensure the project is working to it effectively. Ensure delays are mitigated and managed commercially.
  • Own the outcome: Ensure the project team understands and stays focused on the plan, even when they are stubborn.
  • Report and inform: Provide simple, actionable reports to stakeholders at all levels that help them deliver their part of the project more efficiently and effectively.
  • Make scalable solutions: Develop scalable and repeatable best practices and tools in collaboration with the team to achieve long‑term impact.
  • Develop everyone: Maximise the development of your team personally and professionally and educate our clients to improve as well.

Required Qualifications

  • A construction engineering background: at least 2+ years of experience on construction projects, experience in project planning software and principles, decent Excel skills, and a strong interest in data.
  • Communication skills: proficient in written and verbal English, with charisma and influence to encourage construction people to adopt new approaches.
  • Leadership capabilities: proactively lead yourself and others by asking the right questions and challenging them.
  • Impact: a track record of improving projects and organisations beyond the basics, implementing scalable, repeatable solutions with significant positive impact.
