Corpay is currently looking to hire an HR People Operations Business Partner within our Cross Border line of business. This position is within our HR operations team and is located in London (Moorgate), UK. This role sits within the People Operations team and is focused on delivering efficient, high-quality HR support to the Corporate team. You will work closely with managers and employees to ensure consistent application of policies, smooth delivery of HR processes, and a positive employee experience across the London teams. You will report directly to the HR Director – HR Operations, and collaborate closely with Senior leaders, line managers and employees across the Cross Border corporate teams.

Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day delivery of HR operations, ensuring that processes are executed effectively, and employees and managers are well supported. You will balance operational excellence with a proactive approach to improving processes and maintaining compliance.

People Operations Delivery

  • Take ownership of core HR processes, ensuring they are delivered accurately, efficiently, and consistently across the employee lifecycle.
  • Execute core HR processes across the employee lifecycle (inductions, probation, performance cycles, offboarding)
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of employee data within HR systems
  • Maintain and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing timely and practical support

Employee Relations & Case Management

  • Manage employee relations matters with a fair, consistent, and compliant approach, providing guidance and support to managers.
  • Manage day-to-day employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management
  • Provide clear, consistent advice to managers in line with company policy and local employment law
  • Support documentation, investigations, and outcomes to ensure compliance and best practice

Manager & Employee Support

  • Play a key role in supporting managers and employees by providing practical guidance and ensuring a consistent employee experience.
  • Coach and guide managers on people processes, policies, and best practices
  • Support employees with queries relating to workplace issues
  • Promote a positive and consistent employee experience across locations

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure that all HR activities are carried out in line with relevant legislation and internal policies, minimising risk to the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and Maltese employment legislation and internal policies
  • Support audits and reporting requirements
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation

HR Projects & Process Improvement

  • Contribute to ongoing improvements within the People Operations function, supporting key initiatives and enhancing efficiency.
  • Support the rollout of People Operations initiatives and cyclical processes with the Strategy Team (e.g., performance reviews, compensation reviews)
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes and systems
  • Collaborate with wider HR teams (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, L&D) on operational delivery

Data & Reporting

  • Use data to support operational effectiveness, ensuring accuracy and providing insights where needed.
  • Produce regular HR reports and metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover, absence)
  • Ensure data integrity and support data‑driven decision‑making

Key Stakeholders

This role requires close collaboration with a range of internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of People Operations services and alignment across functions.

  • Managers and employees within the Private Markets division
  • People Operations team
  • Payroll, Finance, and external vendors (as required)

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a candidate with strong operational HR experience, who is comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international environment and managing a variety of HR activities.

Essential

  • Experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor, or People Operations role
  • Strong working knowledge of HR processes and employee lifecycle management
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law
  • Experience handling employee relations cases independently
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Desirable

  • Experience within financial services, fintech, or Private Markets
  • Familiarity with HR systems and data reporting tools
  • CIPD qualification (Level 3–5 or equivalent)
