Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships with line managers, business leaders and other key stakeholders.
  • Advise, guide and coach both employees and managers on complex employee relations and employee life cycle matters ensuring that all issues are dealt with in a good time, sensitively and appropriately.
  • Support and guide line managers, building their competence and confidence to enable them to effectively manage their teams and the business.
  • Work in partnership with the HR Business Partner and operational management teams to proactively identify opportunities to implement people initiatives that support performance improvement in line with business needs.
  • Remain up to date with HR best practice both generally and in relevant business sectors.
  • Support the wider HR Team in the review of existing people policies and processes (including taking account of new and upcoming employment legislation), and supporting the roll out of new initiatives to ensure line managers are fully supported and able to effectively manage their teams.
  • Support the development and roll out of HR projects across your internal client groups to support the wider HR agenda.
  • Provide support when required to the broader HR team, specifically on project work whether local or global.
  • Guide and support the HR Coordinator with ensuring all employee data within the HRIS is accurate.

Requirements

  • Strong generalist employee relations knowledge with practical experience in managing cases to resolution, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and redundancy processes.
  • Consistent ability to build, influence and maintain effective working relationships with line managers, business leaders and other key stakeholders within your internal client groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, tactfully challenge, and collaborate effectively to achieve solutions.
  • Proven ability to evaluate situations, think critically and laterally, anticipate potential issues, and define appropriate responses.
  • A proactive completer-finisher who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, independently prioritises, and enjoys a broad and varied workload.
  • Demonstrates strong personal integrity, self‑confidence, and consistently displays respect, empathy, and honesty.
