We’re looking for a Manager of Benefits for 12 months to help us accomplish our mission to improve and extend lives by learning from the experience of every person with cancer. What You’ll Do
- In this role, you will be responsible for delivering benefits for Flatiron in the UK, Germany & Japan.
- The Health and Wellness Benefits Manager will work in close partnership with the broader People Team to ensure that our programs in the UK, Germany, and Japan support the evolution of Flatiron’s business and our employee population.
- In partnership with the Benefits Lead, review health and wellness offerings in the UK, Germany and Japan to ensure Flatiron delivers comprehensive, competitive benefits programs that align with the company’s objectives, initiatives and budget guidelines.
- Responsible for leaves of absence administration, compliance, and process documentation in the UK, Germany and Japan.
- Identify opportunities to scale benefits and leaves of absence administration globally - focusing specifically on building processes in Workday.
- Partner with our centralized People Operations team to provide support for our employees and our People Team as it relates to benefits and leaves of absence inquiries.
- Ensure support provided is scalable, but still human-centered.
- Detailed review of existing programs and processes, validating accuracy, updating where needed and documenting.
- Work closely with Mercer international and country specific vendor reps when needed.
- Ensure Flatiron is compliant on all benefits and leaves of absence related regulations in our global practices and policies outside of the US.
- Provide reports, documentation, and filings to support compliance.
Who You Are

- You’re a strategic team player who can manage work to desired outcomes, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively with 3-5 years experience working in UK HR and Benefits.
- You have expertise in benefits design, administration and compliance in the UK, Germany and Japan.
- You have hands on experience with Workday HRIS configurations, testing and delivery as it relates to benefits and leaves of absence.
- You are a highly organized person with project management abilities, and excellent attention to detail; you thrive on getting things done both quickly and accurately.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and relationship-building skills across all levels of stakeholders in a highly cross-functional and collaborative environment, including demonstrating an ability to influence without authority.
- You are driven by a sense of accountability, including assuming ownership for achieving personal results and collective team goals.
- You enjoy a “roll up your sleeves” environment and are comfortable problem solving and working with ambiguity in a fast-paced, complex and challenging workplace.
