Position: Full Time/Permanent
Reporting to the CFO with a dotted line to the Managing Director, Digital Subscriptions, the Head of Finance will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of DailyMail+. You will provide strategic financial insight, partner with commercial and editorial teams, and lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support sustainable growth and profitability. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role suited to a commercially minded finance leader with experience in digital media, subscriptions, or consumer businesses.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Lead the financial strategy and planning process for DailyMail+, including annual budgets, forecasts, and long‑term plans.
- Provide commercial insight to support decision‑making, pricing, marketing investment, and product development.
- Partner with the Managing Director and senior leadership to define and deliver growth and profitability targets.
- Financial Operations & Control
- Oversee all accounting, reporting, and financial control activities for DailyMail+, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Manage monthly management accounts, KPIs, and financial performance reporting to stakeholders.
- Implement robust financial systems, processes, and controls as the business scales.
- Commercial & Business Partnering
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and editorial teams to assess ROI and optimise spend.
- Support subscriber acquisition, retention, and lifetime value initiatives through data‑driven analysis.

Person Specification
- 5+ years’ post‑qualified experience in a digital, media, or subscription‑based business.

- Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
