We are recruiting for a Head of Product Development to join our Product team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong, demonstrated product experience in the investment industry, alongside knowledge of market trends, innovation, and the evolving regulatory landscape. Experience in launching ETF products and an understanding of tokenisation would be highly valued.

A bit about the role: Reporting to the Head of Global Product, the Head of Product Development (Public Markets) will lead a team of Product Development Managers and be accountable for new product development activity across Public Markets strategies. This role collaborates across all areas of Aviva Investors to carry out detailed feasibility assessments for new products. The aim is to ensure that new ideas meet clearly identified client needs, are supported by strong investment capability and capacity, demonstrate robust financial business cases, and can be effectively delivered operationally. The role also oversees the build and launches of new products, including project management, with a focus on delivering good client outcomes and managing risk in a thoughtful and responsible way.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong, demonstrable experience in product roles within the investment industry, alongside awareness of product trends, innovation, and regulatory developments.
  • Experience launching ETF products, with a strong understanding of tokenisation.
  • Up-to‑date knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, ensuring all product design and development activities remain compliant.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and clearly with a wide range of audiences, including committees, boards, and colleagues across different levels and functions.
  • Experience as a people leader who can motivate, develop, and empower individuals and teams to succeed - operating within a complex and fast‑paced environment.
