- Commercial growth: Identify, launch, and scale new products (reports, deep‑dives) designed to attract sponsorship revenue
- Data leadership: Implement a sophisticated data visualisation strategy, turning survey findings, interviews with treasurers and financial data into compelling visual stories
- Event integration: Oversee the editorial output from our events, ensuring the weekly newsletter and digital channels capture and expand upon the high‑level discussions.
Responsibilities
- Community engagement: Assess and develop ECTN (our members‑only online network) to increase engagement and drive subscriptions
- Team leadership: Direct management of the assistant editor, providing mentorship, quality control, and professional development
- Product development: Leverage open‑source research, surveys and event recordings to create “exclusive” content
- Innovation: Proactively suggest and execute new content formats that improve audience engagement and retention
- Public face: Represent the editorial brand at global events, engaging with senior industry stakeholders and speakers
Experience, skills, and attributes
- Editorial leadership: Proven track record in a senior editorial role, ideally within B2B finance or events‑led media
- Subject‑matter expertise: Understanding of capital markets and financial reporting
- Commercial acumen: Demonstrated ability to create content that translates into revenue through sponsorships or subscriptions
- Research: Skilled in open‑source research and translating data from corporate financial disclosures into actionable insights
- Thought leadership production: Comfortable designing surveys and synthesising data to produce engaging, high‑value takeaways
- Audience mindset: Experience growing subscribers/communities and improving engagement and usage through testing and analytics
- Management: Experience managing small, high‑performing teams
- General: Organised, deadline driven; excellent line‑editing skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams; curiosity to learn fast; a strong communicator
