About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the F&B Division, the Head Bartender is responsible for ensuring complete guest satisfaction during their experience by providing great knowledge of beverage services in order to both meet and exceed our guests' expectations.
As a Head Bartender at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be responsible for:
- Training and coaching other bar staff on beverage preparation, recipes and standards.
- Developing a strong relationship with suppliers and brand ambassadors.
- Understanding and operating the POS system and coaching other team members.
- Supervising the production sequence of all beverage products and bar sequence of service.
- Maintaining the appropriate level of beverage stock.
- Attending pre-service briefings ensuring that tasks are followed-up efficiently prior to guests’ arrival.
- Developing and maintaining a contemporary cocktail list including spirits and beers offering in line with Beverage Manager.
As a Head Bartender, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 40 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
