What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver training to groups of up to 24 trainees in electrical engineering and machine principles (NVQ Level 4/5) and basic electronics and mathematics (Level 2/3).
  • Demonstrate practical electrical and machine concepts during lab sessions.
  • Supervise trainee‑led laboratory work aligned with module content.
  • Administer and invigilate both paper‑based and online examinations.
  • Mark and check‑mark assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain and update training materials with Training Design staff.

What we’re looking for:

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
  • At least a Foundation Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline), or an HND/FdSc in Electrical Engineering, or proven teaching/practical experience in Electrical Engineering.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
  • Experience in the theory and practical use of electrical machines (DC motors/generators, AC motors/generators) and three‑phase AC systems.
  • Classroom experience teaching technical subjects in an adult education environment, ideally with at least a Level 4 teaching qualification.
  • Experience of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (or equivalent).
