We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to take on a key role within our Cost and Commercial team. This position will support and lead the delivery of major projects across Glasgow and the wider West of Scotland, contributing to a region undergoing significant investment and growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional ready to take ownership of complex, high-value schemes across sectors including education, residential, infrastructure, and public sector developments. You will play a central role in driving project success, influencing commercial outcomes, and strengthening our presence in the local market.

Your role

  • Lead the commercial delivery of major projects, ensuring strong cost control, risk management, and performance outcomes.
  • Take ownership of key project relationships, engaging effectively with clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership teams.
  • Provide clear, structured reporting on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, supporting capability growth and fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Drive best practice in commercial management across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the business as part of a regional practice covering Scotland and Northern Ireland.

About you

  • Degree qualified (BSc) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Ideally Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership.
  • Strong experience across pre- and post-contract duties.
  • Proven track record delivering complex projects within a consultancy or client environment.
  • Working knowledge of SBCC/JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Solid understanding of NRM and cost planning methodologies.
  • Digitally literate and adaptable to using different software interfaces, use of Microsoft suite of application, PowerBI etc.
  • A proactive, driven individual with the confidence to lead, influence, and deliver.
