The Program Manager (Automotive Microcontroller Product Line) will be responsible for leading large multi-disciplinary engineering teams through the NXP New Product Introduction (NPI) process to develop cutting-edge embedded processor solutions for Automotive. The Program Manager will engage the global R&D teams to achieve on-time delivery with world-class levels of quality.

The Program Manager will partner with the organization’s R&D, Design, Software, Product Management, and Product Engineer/Test/Manufacturing teams to define schedules and resourcing for key deliverables, while anticipating and overcoming issues to positively impact key financial metrics including gross margin and EBITDA. In this role, the Program Manager will drive the delivery of new products from concept and definition phases, through execution development of hardware and software solutions, to final production ramp-up of the system solution.

Candidates for this role should possess experience and understanding of the semiconductor, Automotive or electronics industry and understand the key competitive differentiators for NXP products including manufacturability, price, power, software, die size and system performance.

Your Profile:

  • Beng/Meng Electronic Engineering or equivalent degree, advanced degree preferred.
  • Relevant experience in Semiconductor/Electronics/Automotive Industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in complex technical projects including hardware & software.
  • Strong technical background.
  • MS Project experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills and proficient in risk and issue management.
  • PMI/PMP certification desirable but not required.

The Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Successful track record in bringing new products to market on time by containing the development cost within budget initial product ramp and into high volume manufacturing at planned gross margin and yields.
  • Experience interfacing with internal teams, management, and customers being able to tailor the message to the target audience.
  • Strong foundational knowledge and program management approach to drive NPI execution within established timelines and target costs.
  • Focus and capability to transform businesses and take them to the next level.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely to various teams within and across the divisions to effectively drive issue resolution and alignment across functions.
  • Ability to quickly recognize and articulate barriers and critical path to success across teams.
  • Knowledge of ISO26262 and ISO21434.
