This is an opportunity to join a growing Document Control team with our overall Project Controls team, working as a Document Controller to support delivery of a portfolio of projects spanning transmission and distribution, energy storage (hydrogen storage caverns), industrial decarbonisation and green hydrogen. You will be part of an experienced team that have a significant impact on the successful delivery of these multi‑million‑pound contracts, using state of the art Project Controls tools and techniques that provide concise information to the projects they support in the UK and overseas.

Your role:

  • Responsible for controlling the numbering, filing, sorting, and retrieving of electronically stored documentation produced by project teams.
  • Ensure identification of documents and compliance with standard templates and formats.
  • Perform quality and compliance checks on all documentation before issuing.
  • Register and maintain documents in the Electronic Document Management Systems (primarily Autodesk Construction Cloud).
  • Responsible for maintaining document registers and trackers.
  • Liaise with and distribute project related information with all levels of the project team and external parties.
  • Prepare ad‑hoc reports on projects when required.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently.

About you:

  • You will be energised, proactive and self‑motivated with good interpersonal skills working in a team environment.
  • You will be meticulous in your work, and willing to challenge document formatting and content that does not meet necessary standards for document control.
  • You will also have relevant experience in a similar role in Document control and good knowledge in document control and management processes.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Words, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and as part of the team.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet target deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, ProjectWise, AssetWise, Asite, Business Collaborator and others.
