Due to continued framework successes, we’re looking for an Assistant Civil Engineer who is passionate about water, drainage, and infrastructure to join our Water and Wastewater team in Exeter. Our collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside water mains design, drainage design, SuDS and surface water management. Our wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally and include water companies, local authorities, highways authorities, Network Rail and developers.
Your role:
- Developing your experience by contributing to a variety of wastewater and surface water management projects, with opportunities to support the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and our recognised industry leaders on initiatives to reduce Combined Sewer Overflow spills and reduce flooding occurrences.
- Helping shape holistic water management strategies that transcend traditional redline boundaries, with a focus on sustainability, climate resilience, and protecting our communities.
- Leveraging digital tools and data to disrupt the status quo, driving innovation and efficiency across the water and infrastructure sectors.
About you:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Enthusiasm for civil, water, and environmental engineering.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
- Working towards, or interested in pursuing professional accreditation (e.g., ICE or CIWEM).
