The ETF Capital Markets team is a function that we built at Capital Group to maximise our market quality to pursue best in class execution for our clients. To accomplish this goal, we:
- Built the appropriate ETF trading ecosystem and relationships across the primary and secondary markets.
- Developed intraday surveillance tools to assess intraday liquidity and execution quality.
- Provide consultation to our Sales teams and advisor community to provide execution guidance to ensure they may trade with confidence.
As the ETF Capital Markets Manager, you will partner with a variety of stakeholders across the organization to support an expanding suite of ETF investment solutions to ensure operational excellence in design, delivery, and ongoing evolution of our ETF capital markets function. Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee day-to-day secondary and primary market activity.
- Work closely with internal teams such as portfolio management, trading, and operations, to support ETF trading and liquidity.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to provide guidance on execution and resolve any issues relating to trading.
- Monitor market trends and activities to identify potential issues.
- Monitor ETF market quality, including volume, primary flows, premiums/discounts.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert in all areas related to trading.
- Support the implementation of regulatory changes and evolution with the market to keep the team and products aligned with industry standards.
- Respond to regulatory market practice changes.
- Execute plans for regulatory change implementation.
- Implement corrective measures for any compliance issues identified.
- Understand the needs and limitations of external partners and how they impact internal processes.
- Support relationship management efforts and oversee client service functions.
- Maintain relationships with authorized participants, market makers, trading platforms, and exchanges.
- Provide expertise and trading guidance on client activity.
- Assist clients with efficient ETF trading execution and provide education on ETF liquidity and trading strategies.
- Develop and enhance internal ETF tools and processes.
- Coordinate execution of key initiatives and projects within the ETF Capital Markets platform across functional groups.
- May lead initiatives across ETF portfolio, partnering with stakeholders and vendors.
You have a minimum of 10 years of relevant financial services experience, including aspects of trading, operations, sales, project management. You have a thorough understanding of ETF Capital Markets, pricing, and market maker support, with a background in trading being a significant advantage. You have demonstrated expertise in Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), including primary and secondary market dynamics, authorized participant relationships, and capital markets infrastructure. You have extensive experience working in Bloomberg. You possess knowledge of ETF fundamentals and the factors that drive pricing and liquidity. You can adapt to evolving market conditions and regulatory changes.
