What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure the wellbeing of employees (working hours, sickness, health).
- Carry out regular reviews and meetings with frontline teams.
- Lead the team and maintain a visible presence for employees on site and on the rounds.
- Championing inclusion in the workplace.
- Developing and maintaining employee engagement.
- Sickness and absences management.
- Implementing people management processes and procedures in line with company policy.
- Ensuring training and competency checks are in place for all roles.
- Carry out staff inductions in accordance with VMR.
- Oversee day to day stock management, traffic management and management of all operational areas.
- Delivery of a first time collection culture and all contractual performance KPIs.
- Lead our people and assets to deliver/exceed service expectations.
- Developing on day to day relationships with clients and residents.
- Utilise data to improve operational performance including effective use of Bartec.
- Ensure operations run in line with Veolia minimum requirements and support improvements plans.
- Support fleet management and compliance.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills.

- Ability to work well under pressure - fast but efficient.
- Leadership skills - ability to lead and provide instructions to large workforces.
- Previous management experience.
Desirable:
- IOSH managing safely.
- Computer literate.
