Work Hours: 12‑hour day shift (7 am‑7 pm) on a 2‑week rotating cycle, including every other weekend. The role requires onsite cover during holiday absences.
Responsibilities
- Carry out day‑to‑day maintenance activities and support the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system.
- Ensure plant equipment is maintained for safe, efficient, and continuous operation.
- Follow all legal, regulatory, and company engineering standards.
- Assist with installation and implementation of capital projects.
- Support the control and coordination of contractors on site.
- Work collaboratively within the Maintenance team to achieve objectives.
- Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
- Follow risk assessments, permits, and safe systems of work at all times.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
- Act as a proactive and responsible member of the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Time served engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Good general level of education.
- Experience in a processing or manufacturing environment (preferred 5+ years).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Good numerical, communication, and reasoning abilities.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices (or willingness to develop).
