We are recruiting for an experienced Email Marketing Manager to join our client team, working directly within their Wealth Management and Digital Investing businesses to deliver clear, customer-centric email communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

LOCATION Hybrid working. Onsite location on fixed anchor days – London, Northampton or Glasgow. At least two or three days a week.

YOUR MISSION As an experienced Email Marketing Manager, you will elevate business results by leveraging data, technology and creative expertise to deliver customer‑centric marketing communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the email channel end‑to‑end, delivering daily strategic and tactical operations including campaign management in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and providing quality assurance.
  • Influencing stakeholders using technical email expertise to ensure best practice in Salesforce account set up, template module creation and execution success.
  • Collaborating on email design – working with agency partners and internal brand teams on email template design to ensure imagery is on‑brand and fit for purpose.
  • Monitoring market trends – staying current with email trends in the wider market with a view to sharing insight or lessons with the team.
  • Managing data requirements – briefing Targeting Team on data requirements and securing Demand & Planning resource to deliver data on time.
  • Scheduling and managing emails through Air Traffic Control process ensuring on‑time delivery.
  • Analysing and reporting – applying qualitative and quantitative skills using dashboards and reporting tools to measure engagement and commercial KPIs against internal and external benchmarks, providing detailed analysis and insight on ‘Always On’ and campaign activity to inform and continuously improve future email communications.
  • Taking ownership of control processes – defining, reviewing and updating the control processes behind the design, build and send of marketing emails for the Wealth Management and Digital Investing businesses, including training Marketing Managers on Segregation of Duty Controls.
  • Delivering test & learn programmes – creating and managing test & learn plans (email subject line testing, content testing, etc.) to drive business outcomes.
  • Managing prospecting databases – creating and managing third‑party prospecting databases including sign‑up forms and registration emails.
  • Ensuring email resilience – maintaining a robust email resilience communication plan that is regularly reviewed and tested.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships – keeping stakeholders informed on all key milestones, raising any issues in a timely and rational manner with clear recommendations.
  • Using effective stakeholder management to challenge ideas and decisions, ensuring that business objectives are met and aligned to marketing strategy.
  • Seeking continuous improvement – embracing new ways of working to aid acquisition, trading and retention of customers.
  • Ensuring compliance – carrying out all activities in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) end‑to‑end campaign management.
  • Experience with email template design, HTML/CSS coding, and design tools (Photoshop, Dreamweaver).
  • Strong analytical skills using dashboards and reporting tools to measure engagement and commercial KPIs.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder demand and deliver flawless execution in regulated environments.
  • Experience creating and managing test & learn programmes to drive business outcomes.

Essential Email Marketing & Technical Expertise

  • Technical and specialized understanding of email marketing – hands‑on experience managing email campaigns from strategy through to execution.
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) – understanding the end‑to‑end campaign management process while conforming to best practices.
  • Experience with email platforms, design tools and languages including Salesforce, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, SharePoint, and HTML/CSS Coding.
  • Email best practices knowledge – understanding of email technologies, engagement trends, and optimisation techniques.
  • Template design and development – experience ensuring imagery is on‑brand and fit for purpose, working with available components and templates.

Analytical & Reporting Skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities – ability to build data‑driven insights using dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Commercial awareness – understanding and appreciation of commercial consequences of marketing decisions.
  • Test & learn mindset – experience creating and managing testing programmes (subject line testing, content testing, etc.) to drive business outcomes.
  • Basic Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Effective communication skills – ability to listen, interpret and articulate complex information relating to email optimisation and performance to influence and guide senior leaders, colleagues and external agencies.
  • Confident stakeholder management – ability to challenge ideas and decisions to ensure business objectives are met and aligned to marketing strategy.
  • Experience managing email demand from key stakeholders across multiple business areas.
  • Ability to navigate complex organisations – understanding of how to work within large, regulated environments and develop strong, meaningful stakeholder relationships based on mutual respect.
