We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our team, reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Manager. The role focuses on developing the Marketing function and the Covetrus UK brand.
The role
- Develop a wide range of marketing collateral.
- Manage Covetrus UK’s website and e‑commerce platform, leading the development of its digital presence.
- Keep SEO‑focused content updated, analyse website traffic and performance, and produce data‑driven insights to drive conversion to sales.
- Review online consumer behaviour, map the customer journey and align the inbound marketing strategy with market trends.
- Prepare, schedule and develop the Social Media strategy, ensuring LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram pages reflect brand and audience messaging.
- Drive organic growth of the brand on key Social Media platforms.
- Own and execute email marketing campaigns to increase engagement and action.
- Monitor and report on the performance of all key digital platforms.
- Develop photography and videography content, coordinating product, clinical and lifestyle shoots.
- Work with the Senior Marketing Manager to manage a library of brand assets within corporate guidelines.
- Write engaging copy for adverts, journals, publications, webinars, etc.
- Collaborate with proprietary brands to create partnership opportunities.
- Partner with the KOL network and influencers to create case studies and testimonials.
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Product Manager in developing and executing marketing strategies for existing and new products.
- Deliver integrated marketing campaigns using a full range of tools and channels.
- Review market trends with the Senior Marketing Manager and act to keep Covetrus UK at the forefront.
- Design, edit and publish content on all required platforms.
- Own and report on the online customer review process and supporting systems.
- Provide general support to the wider business on typical marketing activities offline.
- Handle any ad‑hoc requirements with the commercial team during holidays and sick leave.
- Self‑educate, identify and evaluate digital marketing trends and present opportunities for evolution.
You
- At least 2 years of experience in a commercially oriented marketing environment.
- Marketing degree or relevant qualifications demonstrating marketing knowledge.
- High standard of organisational and project‑management skills.
- Strong copywriting ability.
- Creative flair and confidence.
- Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise, and manage budgets.
- Strong analytical, insight‑development and reporting skills.
- Experience managing web sites.
- Significant experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
- Competent with E‑CRM applications.
- Experience using third‑party platforms such as Hootsuite, Canva, monday.com and feedly.
This position can be either remote or on‑site, based from our headquarters in Dumfries.
- Willing to travel within the UK and internationally where required.
- A full, clean driving licence is required.
