About Us: insightsoftware is a global provider of reporting, analytics, and performance management solutions that unlock the potential of business data and transform the way finance and data teams operate. We empower leaders from over 32,000 organizations to make timely and intelligent decisions. Our comprehensive solutions span Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Controllership, and Data and Analytics.

Why This Role Exists: Presales is changing. The product portfolios are larger, the buyers are more sophisticated, and AI is rewriting what a single seller can carry into a deal. The directors who win in this environment are not the deepest product experts in the room. They are the leaders who build systems that produce consistent results across teams, products, and regions, and who can develop people fast enough to keep pace with the market. This role exists to lead one of those teams of 8 to 10 people. You will own a team of solutions engineers in the EMEA region supporting products in our ERP Reporting and Tools portfolio, a meaningful share of the company’s bookings outcomes, and the operating standards that determine how technical selling gets done at scale.

What You Will Own: You will be accountable for the technical win rate, deal velocity, and bookings influence of your team. You will design the operating rhythms that make those numbers move: deal reviews, forecast discipline, escalation paths, hiring standards, and the coaching cadence that develops people instead of rescuing them. You will partner closely with sales leadership, customer success, professional services, marketing and product. And you will be the person leadership trusts to surface risk early, with options, before it becomes a forecast surprise.

What You Will Accomplish in Your First Year:

  • Establish a measurable bar for presales performance across your team and apply it consistently to hiring and development.
  • Improve technical win rate and deal velocity in your EMEA coverage area through disciplined deal review, demo quality standards, and earlier risk surfacing.
  • Build a knowledge and enablement system that reduces single-person dependency on key deals and key products across our ERP Reporting and Tools portfolio.
  • Develop two to three solutions engineers into senior or principal-level operators who can run the most complex deals without you in the room.
  • Earn the trust of sales leadership as a peer who improves their forecast.

What You Bring: Eight or more years of presales or technical sales experience, with at least three years leading SE teams of ten or more across multiple regions or product lines. A track record of measurable improvement in technical win rate, deal velocity, or bookings influence under your leadership, and the ability to talk about how you got there. Demonstrated judgment in hiring and developing solutions engineers against a clear standard. You have built a bench, not just filled seats. Fluency with how AI is changing technical selling and a point of view on how SE teams should be using it. Strong commercial instincts. The ability to operate at two altitudes in the same day: coaching a discovery call in the morning, presenting a coverage strategy to the executive team in the afternoon, without losing precision in either. Experience selling complex ERP Reporting tools to senior buyers.

What This Role Is Not: This is not a player-coach role where you carry your own deals. Your value is in what your team delivers, the systems you build, the people you develop, and the judgment calls you make across a portfolio you cannot personally master.

How We Work: The presales organization runs on sharp standards, disciplined execution, and a deliberate investment in AI fluency. Every SE is equipped with AI tools and expected to use them: to prepare faster, research deeper, and show up to every conversation better than the competition. We hire people who stretch. The product portfolio is broad, the market moves fast, and the expectation is that everyone on this team is learning continuously, expanding their range, and raising the bar for what good looks like. Directors set that tone. If you want a team that runs on curiosity, accountability, and a relentless drive to improve, this is the environment.

The role is 100% remote, with periodic travel to team events, customer sites, and company offsites.

The salary range in United Kingdom for this position is 156,000.00 to 195,000.00 GBP Annual. Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for a bonus. For sales roles, this range includes a commission target.

We are committed to pay transparency and fair compensation practices. If you have questions about our compensation approach, please don’t hesitate to ask during the interview process.

Additional Information: All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
