Liberty Blume Speciality Finance offers a varied product range; from core products including Supply Chain Finance and Securitisation to products in development/close to release including but not limited to inventory finance, portfolio receivables financing, prepayment/trade advance, leasing, asset as a service. LBSF generally targets sub-investment grade rated companies (although its solutions are also applicable to investment grade organisations) to provide the aforementioned solutions. Today its client base is mostly focused around telecoms; however, LBSF is making inroads with adjacent industries.
In order to drive business growth, LBSF seeks an individual with proven capabilities and pre-existing relationships, to source/identify appropriate funders and partners for the transactions it envisages and drive onboarding such partners into a specific transaction and wider relationship.
- Originate discussions and drive forward partnership development by making contact with relevant players in the industry from (a) your personal network; (b) funders already known to LBSF and Liberty Global; (c) reverse inquiries.
- Act as key point of contact for these organisations, representing LBSF with the aim to drive forward growth agenda.
- Provide meaningful insight into opportunities LBSF has to funders but also advise the team on the risk-return profiles that various investors have and how such targets change over time.
- Pitch opportunities to funders in partnership with origination and product colleagues, and navigate specific requirements or requests to be able to shape the deal in a way that suits their needs.
- Identify appropriate new funders for existing 3rd party transactions to enable growth at most favourable terms.
- Provision of market intelligence as it relates to (a) players in the working capital financing (b) new entrants, especially non-banks (c) structural or strategic changes at working capital financing providers resulting in the potential availability or acquisition of clients or a client portfolio.
Knowledge & Experience
- Relevant years of experience in Structured Finance, Corporate Finance, Transactional Banking.
- Relevant years of experience in working capital financing distribution.
- Existing relationships with a vast array of funders required (including a significant number of potentially suitable non-bank investors).
- Knowledge of working capital market intelligence required.
- Prior experience in the wider structured finance arena would be a plus.
Skills & Abilities
- Experience in communication with potential funders and partners (internal/external).
- Ability to evaluate funder needs and source relevant opportunities.
- Facilitate introductions and oversee discussions from initial meetings through to the ‘sales’ process and deal closure.
