Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate plasma and laser cutting machine to cut steel to the required specification.
  • Monitor cutting programs, check parts with respective drawings and amend working parameters when necessary.
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
  • Meet set targets whilst working on the production line.
  • Adhere to strict quality targets.
  • Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
  • Complete daily safety checks to ensure machine and work equipment is in good working order.
  • Maintain compliance with all Health and Safety Regulations.

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate should be hard working, a good team player with excellent communication skills and good attention to detail.
  • Willingness to develop skills on an ongoing basis in line with the growing business.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous; on-site training will be provided.
