This is a Hybrid working role in Whiteley, Hampshire. This role will require attainment and maintenance of SC clearance. We are looking for a Comparative Test Engineer to join our team to help us deliver a large-scale systems integration programme. As part of a multi-discipline team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of test documentation and execution, as assigned by the Test Lead. The successful candidate will interface with an international team and with Customer stakeholders to design, create and execute tests. The role requires effective communication with all members of the team, ranging from technical personnel to programme leadership. The role includes executing tests across a variety of software products, their interfaces and network & infrastructure configurations, and identifying and managing resulting defects.
What will I be doing?
- Generating Test Cases by reviewing requirements and design documentation, liaising with SMEs.
- Documenting test results and any defects/reporting progress.
- Investigating issues and working with suppliers to identify root cause and resolution.
- Analyzing data, large datasets and test evidence from suppliers to show compliance with requirements.
- Data analysis of interface messaging, comparing legacy data to new systems.
- Identifying improvements in new and existing processes.
- Supporting the Automation team to develop regression test pack.
What does Leidos need from me?
- ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in software testing.
- Ability to take part in testing in Whiteley.
- A good understanding of the Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing such as Functional, Non-Functional, and Integration Testing.
- Demonstrable systems integration experience including integrating third-party systems or components.
- Good oral and written communication skills, confident in technical and non-technical discussions.
- Good time management and organisational skills – ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, troubleshooting attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience creating Test Cases based on requirements and design documents.
