We are seeking an experienced, strategically minded and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Commercial Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role within the commercial team for our HS2 Track contract. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, negotiation, and management skills, supported by a proven track record in delivering major infrastructure projects.
Location: Euston, London
Responsibilities:
- Administering NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract
- Managing major work packages with values in excess of £100m
- Supporting the Commercial Lead, providing clear commercial guidance to the wider project team
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining robust commercial, accounting, and management processes
- Administering risk and opportunity management, ensuring commercial entitlement is fully protected and maximised
- Supporting contract reviews and the delivery of accurate monthly commercial and financial reporting
- Leading and participating in commercial discussions and negotiations with project and commercial stakeholders
- Governing, monitoring, and evidencing KPI performance
- Preparing monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budgets, ensuring strong cost control and accuracy
- Identifying and providing timely, high-quality information to support the change control process
- Supporting procurement activities, including tender processes and the preparation of subcontract documentation
- Managing subcontractors from order placement through to final account
- Maintaining detailed registers for variations, delays, extensions of time, and claims
