The Team

We are seeking a strategic and analytically driven Commercial Assessments & Lifecycle Manager to lead commercial evaluations and optimize lifecycle strategies across our portfolio. Sitting within the Global Marketing team, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping asset investment decisions, maximizing long-term brand value, and supporting evidence-based planning across the product lifecycle—from early development to late-stage maturity and sunset.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Commercial Assessments: Lead the development of global commercial assessments for pipeline and in-line products to support investment decisions, go/no-go gates, and portfolio prioritisation.
  • Lifecycle Management Strategy: Drive global lifecycle management strategies for key brands, including indication expansion, formulation improvements, pricing optimisation, geographic rollout, and product differentiation initiatives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, Medical, Market Access, Finance, and Business Development to ensure commercial input into development planning, business cases, and lifecycle strategy.
  • Scenario & Opportunity Analysis: Build and challenge commercial scenarios, market forecasts, and strategic options using market research, competitive intelligence, and financial modelling.
  • Governance & Business Cases: Prepare robust business cases and recommendation documents for governance boards and senior leadership, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and P&L.
  • Established Brand Optimization: Oversee strategies for maximizing value from mature brands, including value retention, cost management, SKU optimisation, and geographic focus.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and external events to proactively identify risks and opportunities for brand and portfolio performance.
  • Decision Support: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by providing commercially sound recommendations that balance growth, investment, and risk.

What you’ll bring

  • Established experience in pharmaceutical commercial strategy, global marketing, or portfolio/lifecycle management
  • Strong understanding of product development, commercialization pathways, and lifecycle value creation
  • Proven ability to synthesise data into clear, actionable recommendations and build alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally in matrix environments
  • Experience preparing and presenting to senior executive governance bodies
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
