Role description
WPP Production requires an Ops Lead to streamline collaboration between production, creative, and media teams to deliver innovative, nimble, efficient, and appropriate solutions for a global tech client. The role will be responsible for:
- Identifying suitable, seamless technology and workflow solutions to deliver against client and agency objectives.
- Setting up and optimising multi-market and multi-stakeholder workstreams.
- Building effective, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Ensuring clarity, simplicity, and mutual benefit are unlocked across each touchpoint and interaction.
Tasks required
- Collaborate with stakeholders from WPP Production, WPP Media, WPP Creative, and multiple client teams.
- Define flexible, efficient, and scalable processes and workflows. Specifically, outline and implement a new operational model that allows WPP Production to augment the client’s in-house creative origination team and deliver efficient, global, technology-powered production solutions.
- Identify appropriate tools and tech that allow WPP to deliver against client requirements (integrating directly with client-selected and client-owned technology, platforms, and teams where appropriate).
- Redefine and optimise existing operational, commercial, and resourcing models to streamline ways of working, reduce complexity, and improve efficiency.
- Define and future-proof operational models for new / potential lines of business and RFIs.
Experience and persona profile
- Proven track record of effective collaboration with creative and media agencies to deliver an integrated, seamless global client solution.
- Experience setting up complex, multistakeholder, global operational models that support effective delivery at scale and drive commercial efficiency through radical simplicity. Strong knowledge of end-to-end production process, tech and staffing considerations.
- Able to balance standardized frameworks and guardrails with adaptability and customization across engagements and territories.
- Experience setting up embedded teams / in-house agencies.
- Empathetic and measured – able to listen to various stakeholders, understand diverse wants/needs and deliver clear, specific, and measurable outcomes.
- Confident dealing with complex client requirements and stakeholder maps. Experience dealing with client and agency stakeholders at multiple levels of seniority and establishing authority through relationship-building.
- Solution-oriented and tenacious problem-solver. Removes barriers and complexity from situations.
- Able to navigate ambiguity and conflicting stakeholder priorities with creativity and tact.
- Thorough understanding of the marketing production lifecycle and integrations with creative and media: primary and virtual production, post-production, localization, versioning across multiple formats, and multichannel delivery.
- Technically savvy – deep knowledge of martech solutions, architecture, AI applications, integrations, and implementations. Able to push boundaries and pivot rapidly when faced with blockers.
- Commercially astute – able to partner with the commercial team to build viable models that deliver sustainable growth.

- Robust understanding of client and WPP needs, objectives, and technology landscape; recommendations and implementations of tech stack improvements, optimisations, and integrations.
