About the role: We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and implementation of advanced data science and AI strategies that support BSI’s digital transformation. This role blends technical expertise, innovation, and leadership — mentoring others while driving data‑led decision‑making across the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead data analysis projects and solve complex data challenges.
- Design, build, and deliver scalable AI and machine learning solutions.
- Contribute to the DSAI strategic roadmap aligned with BSI’s goals.
- Ensure quality, transparency, and compliance with AI standards (ISO 42001).
- Maintain and evolve tools and technologies across structured and unstructured data.
- Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver insights.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists.
- Represent BSI’s data science team at internal and external events.
- Promote a culture of data-driven innovation across the organisation.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- 3+ years’ experience in a data science role solving real-world business problems.
- Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL (experience with Databricks a plus).
- Strong understanding of machine learning, LLMs, and data analysis pipelines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive, flexible mindset with a passion for uncovering value through data.
