The Role
At Soho House, as a Public Area Attendant, you are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in all front-of-house and shared guest spaces. You will ensure that lounges, lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and other public areas reflect the elegance and comfort expected by our members and guests.

Key duties
- Clean and maintain all public areas of the club, including lobbies, lounges, hallways, lifts, restrooms, and entrances
- Regularly check and restock public area supplies such as hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, and other amenities
- Ensure all furniture, fixtures, artwork, and surfaces are dusted, polished, and in top condition
- Respond promptly to spills, stains, or urgent cleaning needs, maintaining discretion at all times
- Follow established schedules and task lists while being flexible to dynamic operational needs
- Monitor lighting, air quality, and fragrance levels, ensuring ambiance and comfort in all areas
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Facilities team
- Support event setup or breakdown in public areas when required (e.g., moving furniture, cleaning after events)
- Maintain accurate cleaning records and follow health & safety and COSHH guidelines
- Offer polite, professional responses to member or guest enquiries, escalating to relevant departments when needed
What we are looking for…
A successful Public Area Attendant for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning roles within hospitality or luxury environments
- High attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive cleaning tasks across large spaces
- Good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
