What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and recording of all incoming deliveries, and prepare and dispatch goods based on internal requests, coordinating with transport companies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using the stores management system, conduct regular stock audits, and report any discrepancies or potential supply shortages to the supervisor.
  • Ensure a safe and organised storage environment by managing racking, adhering to safe lifting and manual handling procedures, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly planning for stock and equipment movements to ensure the operational team's needs are met, including responding to ad-hoc requests.
  • Handle all administrative tasks related to goods movement, including managing delivery paperwork, COSHH certificates, and ensuring all records are accurately updated in the system.
  • Collaborate with the Parts Supervisor, engineers, and service coordinators to communicate stock requirements, delivery status, and report any health, safety, or environmental concerns.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in stores, logistics, or warehouse operations or experience with goods receipt, storage, and dispatch procedures in a similar operational environment.
  • Experience with inventory management systems
  • Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks
  • Forklift or mechanical handling equipment certification would be desirable
  • COSHH training certificate would be desirable
  • First Aid at Work certification would be desirable
