We are looking for an experienced refrigeration engineer to work within our busy and dynamic facilities and management team at our 64-acre Cheltenham campus. The team you will work in consists of 16 people, with a combination of refrigeration engineers, electricians, plumbers, labourers and a gardener.

The refrigeration engineer is responsible for day-to-day maintenance and management of the environmental stress screening chambers. You will fault find, support the planning of maintenance activity and program chambers to support product testing. You will also work on equipment such as laser wire markers, vibration systems among others for which training will be provided. Ideally you will have experience working with brands such as Thermotron and Sharetree environmental chambers, but training can be provided for a candidate with a strong refrigeration & air conditioning background.

You will also have responsibility in collaboration with other team members for emergency events on site including fire and flood and will be trained to perform fire alarm testing and run the diesel sprinkler pumps.

Must have qualifications/requirements:

  • Safety conscious
  • F gas qualified category 1 qualification from accredited body such as C&G, BESA, LCL or CITB (course code 603/1917/3 / 2079-11 or equivalent).
  • Electrical competency for refrigeration systems.
  • Ability to work independently whilst balancing multiple priorities.
  • Good team player who can operate in a multi-discipline environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Desire for personal continuous improvement.

  • Experience on Thermotron and Sharetree environmental stress chambers.
  • Experience in vibration systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and water systems.
