As a Site Quality Officer, you will be part of a team of four, supporting the Chemistry Quality Manager by maintaining and enhancing the ALS Quality Management System. You will conduct audits and reviews of validation protocols and reports, ensuring compliance with SOPs and procedures. Your analytical background will be essential for leading investigations, tracking non‑compliance issues, and overseeing the proficiency testing program. Additionally, you will assist in managing equipment calibration schedules, deliver staff training, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across the site.

Contract Details

  • Contract Type: Full‑Time, Permanent, On‑site
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Location: Chatteris

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with the review and amendment of SOPs, and authorize the issue of documents.
  • Ensure all SOPs and procedures are current, and that staff are trained in updated procedures.
  • Coordinate and document investigations, ensuring timely submission and completion in line with ALS procedures.
  • Perform corrective/preventive actions for non‑conforming work, complaints, and internal audits, followed by effectiveness checks.
  • Perform internal audits, spot checks and follow up on action items to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

  • A degree in a science‑related field is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with a solid understanding of validation protocols and procedures.
  • A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem‑solving.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively within the team and with external clients.
  • Good organisational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and working to deadlines.
  • High computer literacy, particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
