This is a critical leadership role for GE HealthCare, focused on transforming raw data into a strategic advantage. The Senior Global Market Intelligence Leader will be the primary architect of our global market and competitive intelligence framework, ensuring our New Product Introductions (NPIs) are informed by rigorous, actionable insights. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Marketing, this individual will lead the charge in gathering both proactive and reactive intelligence—spanning Primary and Secondary research—to shape the market and define our competitive edge. You will be responsible for synthesizing complex dynamics into strategic foresight, enabling GE HealthCare to anticipate market shifts and maintain its position as a global leader in medical technology.
As the Senior Global Market Intelligence Leader, you will lead the following key areas:
- Intelligence Framework & Competitor Strategy
- Proactive Competitor Intelligence: Develop and lead a world-class competitor intelligence program to monitor, analyze, and predict rival movements and market positioning.
- Strategic Foresight: Interpret internal and external business challenges to provide high-level judgment and recommendations that inform long-term strategy (LTS).
- Secondary Research Synthesis: Lead the consolidation and synthesis of global market dynamics, ensuring the organization stays informed of industry trends.
- Research Management & NPI Support
- Global Market Research Plan: Own and manage the end-to-end global market research plan specifically tailored for NPIs and new product development.
- Primary Research Execution: Design and run global primary research initiatives to validate business cases and go-to-market strategies.
- Voice of Customer (VoC): Serve as the global lead for the VoC program, ensuring customer insights are integrated into product planning and value propositions.
- Insights, Visualization & Storytelling
- Data Visualization: Translate complex datasets into clear, impactful visual stories that drive executive decision-making.
- Actionable Insights: Move beyond data reporting to deliver “so-what” insights that offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters.
- Analytical Rigor: Drive best practices in the use of marketing analytics and martech stacks to ensure the highest quality of information.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Leadership
- Internal Advisory Boards: Build and manage internal advisory boards to facilitate cross-functional alignment and knowledge sharing.
- Vendor Relations: Manage external research vendor relationships, ensuring delivery of high-quality, cost-effective insights.
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing evidence-based recommendations for market expansion and portfolio restructuring.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
- Experience: Progressive experience in market intelligence, marketing research, or strategic planning—ideally within a complex, matrixed global B2B environment.
- Research Expertise: Proven track record in managing both primary and secondary research projects with a focus on NPIs and market-shaping activities.
