Catastrophe Modelling Developer
Location: London office.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance production catastrophe modelling tools, resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis.
- Support development and drive innovation and automation in Catastrophe Modelling systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across geographic regions, sharing knowledge.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and work on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate findings and insights to Catastrophe Analysts, Actuaries, and Underwriting teams.
- Stay current with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of commercial full stack software development experience.
- Broad programming skills and web API design/development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field.
- Proven experience in Catastrophe Modelling within the insurance industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, multicultural environment.
