The main purpose of the role is to design and implement Procurement strategies across a portfolio that includes Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) and a key logistic provider (4PL). Key objectives are to achieve significant Total Cost of Ownership benefits, develop and implement robust risk-mitigation strategies, and create strategic relationships with key supply partners and internal stakeholders.
Manage all strategic and operational Procurement activity related to our CMO network and key 4PL provider, and create a three-year savings pipeline to deliver year-over-year savings. Implement robust Supplier Relationship Management across all key suppliers, acting as the single point of contact and ensuring contractual KPIs are achieved or exceeded and TCO benefits are identified and implemented across the product portfolio. Create and implement robust risk-mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply across the organization. Develop and implement robust partnerships with key suppliers and internal business stakeholders.
What you’ll bring:
- MCIPS certification.
- Extensive knowledge and experience managing Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) and Direct Procurement categories at a strategic and operational level.
- Experience working in the pharmaceuticals and life sciences industry.
- MBA, Lean / Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Project management capability are desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to build robust and value-adding relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement quick-win savings and develop a longer-term savings pipeline.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple layers within the company and with key suppliers.
- Experienced in managing categories of spend through formal Category Management processes.
- Capability to identify risks and design/implement robust risk-mitigation strategies.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Capability to negotiate and manage complex contracts.
- Self-motivated and confident in the ability to bring meaningful change to deliver the best results for the organization.
