The Role

We are seeking a Regional Business Manager to lead, develop, and grow a high‑performing regional sales team within Abbott Diabetes Care. This is a field‑based leadership role with responsibility for sales revenue, margins, pricing negotiations, market access, and NHS account management across the East of England. Reporting to the UK Sales Director, you will set and deliver regional strategy aligned to national priorities, anticipate market change, and drive growth of the Abbott Diabetes FreeStyle Libre ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial & Strategic Leadership
    • Own and deliver regional sales revenue, margin and pricing responsibilities in line with targets agreed with the UK Sales Director
    • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned to national objectives and evolving NHS priorities
    • Lead regional business planning, forecasting, budget management, and data analysis
    • Secure optimal market access through targeted engagement with key decision‑makers, payors, gatekeepers, and KOLs
    • Lead end‑to‑end tender and formulary processes
    • Lead the ADC account management process for key regional accounts
    • Coordinate resources, planning and activity to maximise sales growth, advocacy, and brand presence
    • Maintain personal ownership of strategic accounts to ensure sustained market access and growth
  • Cross‑Functional & Business Leadership
    • Partner with marketing, commercial operations, and brand teams to ensure effective campaign development and execution
    • Contribute to business‑critical projects on behalf of Abbott Diabetes Care
    • Ensure effective management and compliant use of FOC stock
    • Represent the regional sales leadership function in wider UK business initiatives

    • Degree or Master’s qualification or significant experience within:

    • Strong understanding of NHS structures, initiatives, and decision‑making processes
    • Highly effective coach, communicator, and presenter
