About the Role:

Lead the way in European market access. Join us as a Consultant to manage multiple Value & Access projects, spearhead client relationships, and contribute to pipeline growth, through leveraging your German HTA and JCA expertise. We are expanding our Value & Access team, with an increasing European focus (including JCA and EU4). We are seeking an experienced Consultant to deliver strategic, high-quality work for clients, independently managing multiple Value & Access projects end-to-end—from scoping to execution—and leading client communications.

A key focus of this role is leveraging your deep expertise in the German HTA and broader market access landscape to guide JCA, Scientific Advice, global value dossiers, and market access strategy for Germany and EU4. Projects span multiple disease areas; the ability to rapidly assimilate new therapeutic areas and manage multiple projects is essential. You will recruit, train and mentor Analysts, nurture long-term client relationships, and manage your pipeline of work. Lead proposals to drive growth for the Value & Access team’s global and European markets. You will enhance the team’s capabilities and shape future projects by staying ahead of JCA trends. You will sit as part of the Management Team in Value & Access, with the opportunity to shape and drive team strategy and take part in service area-specific and company-wide Management Team-level training and discussions.

Our standard working week is 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, however we can also consider applicants looking for part-time hours of 30 hours per week.

About You:

We are looking for a collaborative, self-motivated individual with a strong background in healthcare consulting, especially within market access projects. You will take pride in delivering exceptionally high-quality work, building successful client relationships, and consistently exceeding clients’ expectations. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying highly organised, and managing timelines across multiple projects while supporting the project team as needed. You will have a genuine desire to contribute to the growth of our team and the development of our junior colleagues, leveraging your mentoring and feedback skills to help them succeed. You also will have a desire to contribute positively to our welcoming, collaborative, supportive and ambitious culture.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ industry experience, ideally within a consulting environment or alternatively a pharmaceutical or medical device company.
  • Working directly with clients from project initiation to completion, providing recommendations on project content and approach.
  • Leading multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing deadlines, delegating tasks and managing the time of others effectively.
  • Communicating with clients and tailoring your approach to a variety of communication/working styles to build robust, sustainable working relationships.
  • Pitching for, and winning, competitive work, including contributing to proposal development, shaping strategic narratives, and presenting with confidence.
  • Strong understanding of the German access landscape for pharmaceuticals and direct experience in AMNOG dossiers.
  • Broader experience in delivering early market access strategic advice, and/or evidence generation plans tailored to the German market is also highly desirable.
  • At a minimum, experience should be sufficient to provide strategic and technical advice to clients on German HTA requirements and evidence needs.
  • Experience from global market access projects, including a solid understanding of global access drivers, payer evidence needs, and the interplay between clinical, economic, and policy considerations.
  • A degree in a scientific discipline (minimum 2.1 or equivalent).
  • Fluent in English.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit to proactively spot opportunities, shape innovative market access solutions, and take ownership of the growth of client relationships and project pipelines.
  • Skilled in relationship building displayed both internally and externally, to communicate appropriately and adapt your style to different audiences and situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex ideas and scientific data to non-experts.
  • An exceptionally high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to respond to changing deadlines.
  • The ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others, leading and motivating them to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Desired Requirements:

  • Fluent in German.
  • Experience on HTA and/or market access projects for other European countries (particularly France, Spain, Italy, Nordics or the Netherlands).

Benefits:

  • £61,500 per annum, depending on your previous experience, as well as a discretionary profit share bonus paid twice per year.
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank and public holidays, as well as a holiday buy and sell scheme.
  • Flexible working hours and the chance to work from home for up to half of your working time after passing probation.
  • Flexible benefits scheme offering cash payments, additional pension contributions and more.
  • Private Medical Insurance which offers comprehensive cover on a “medical history disregard” basis.
  • Paid study leave and funding for external qualifications.
  • Critical Illness Cover, Income Protection and Life Assurance.
  • Paid and unpaid sabbaticals based on length of service.

Hybrid Working Policy:

We believe that having face-to-face time in the office holds many benefits and is central to ensuring that the community we have created, where people have a workplace they belong to and feel part of, is never lost. At the same time, we recognise that homeworking can improve work life balance, reduce commuting times and costs, and provide the opportunity to juggle personal commitments. Therefore, we offer flexible working arrangements that allow our colleagues who have passed probation to work from home up to half their time, measured across a 2-week rolling period. During your probationary period (normally the first 6 months of the role), you will be able to work from home 1 day per week.

Visa Sponsorship:

We can provide visa sponsorship for eligible candidates for our Consultant role. You will be asked to provide details of your right to work in the UK within your application, however this will have no impact on the processing of your application.
