Are you due to finish school or college and considering a career in Marketing? How would you like to complete an Apprenticeship with a company at the forefront of innovation in cancer care and minimally invasive oncology treatments? As a Marketing Apprentice within Varian Interventional Solutions (a Siemens Healthineers company), you will be an integral part of our UK marketing team, supporting marketing and communications activity related to minimally invasive oncology treatment solutions, while working towards the Multi‑Channel Marketer Level 3 apprenticeship.
Varian Interventional Solutions focuses on minimally invasive cancer treatments – targeted approaches that help healthcare professionals treat cancer in a more precise and effective way, often using advanced imaging and specialist technologies. This is an entry‑level marketing role, designed for someone looking to build strong foundations in marketing coordination, administration and campaign support, within a specialist area of healthcare technology that makes a real difference to patient care.
What to expect
- Work towards achieving a Level 3 Multi‑Channel Marketer qualification through an approved UK apprenticeship provider.
- Support the marketing team within Varian Interventional Solutions, helping deliver marketing activity aligned to minimally invasive oncology products and services.
- Assist with the planning and coordination of marketing events, including compliance processes, vendor onboarding, invoice processing and internal approvals.
- Support liaison with customers and key opinion leaders, including coordination of attendance and engagement at events and meetings.
- Provide marketing administration and coordination support to ensure activity runs smoothly across multiple channels.
- Gain exposure to marketing materials and content creation, working with internal teams and approved external suppliers.
- With guidance from marketing colleagues, support social media and digital marketing activity in line with brand, regulatory and compliance standards.
- Work primarily on UK marketing activity, with some exposure to Germany and potential wider EMEA collaboration over time.
The role will be based from our Crawley or Camberley offices, with hybrid working available. You will be working as part of a team that is largely remote, so an ability to stay organised, communicate clearly and manage tasks independently will be important. Occasional travel (up to approximately 10%) may be required to support events, meetings or apprenticeship training, including travel to college as required.
What we’re looking for
- Has a genuine interest in marketing, communications or digital media.
- Is organised, reliable and comfortable managing tasks and deadlines in a hybrid working environment.
- Is comfortable working with colleagues who may be based remotely, and able to manage their time and priorities effectively.
- Pays good attention to detail, particularly when working with processes and compliance‑led activity.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office tools and keen to learn additional systems such as CRM platforms and LinkedIn.
- Enjoys working with others and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Is keen to learn, take feedback and develop professionally in a fast‑paced, professional environment.
- Brings curiosity and a fresh perspective to marketing within the healthcare and oncology space.

- Hands‑on experience within a specialist marketing team supporting minimally invasive oncology solutions.
- Protected time for off‑the‑job learning (approximately 20%), alongside real‑world marketing activity.
- A competitive apprenticeship salary in line with apprenticeship and internal reward guidelines.
- The opportunity to build valuable experience and a strong foundation for a future career within Varian and Siemens Healthineers, subject to performance and business needs.
