About Us: At Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant. We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations - Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough.

The Role: We have some exciting new opportunities to join our Heavy Maintenance team within the Bristol depot to support with upcoming projects. Within this role work will vary depending on the projects we have available for general tasks include fitting floors, panelling, seating, tables, windows and doors within the interior of the rolling stock. Electrical tasks can involve installation and replacement of traction and rolling stock components and carrying out modifications in accordance with specified procedures and ability to install and terminate vehicle control wiring harnesses.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out maintenance and overhaul of Rail Vehicles to laid down standards and procedures
- Carry out work allocated by the Service Delivery Leader to the recognised standards
- Operate rail vehicles, within depot operating limits, in accordance with relevant operating procedures
- Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI and local work instructions
- Ensure work sheets are signed off on completion of work
- Use of correct PPE with standards and local instructions
What You Bring:
- Qualifications: minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering
- Experience: previous experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities is desirable
- Knowledge: good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Engineering: strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
