POSITION SUMMARY

The Barista is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. The Barista adheres to Hard Rock’s guiding Principles and Amplified Service Standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Creates a positive atmosphere.
  • Responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
  • Provides information on all aspects of Hard Rock services, and facilities to guests.
  • Quotes accurate waiting times and handles waiting guests in accordance with Hard Rock’s service standards.
  • Responsible for the pickup, countdown and return of cash bank from miscellaneous count.
  • Maintains accurate cash balance and handles money in a secure manner according to established standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining dining room cleanliness including bussing tables and sweeping floor.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
  • Perform work regularly and predictably.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months experience in high volume food service, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
  • Must possess basic math skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities, balance cash drawer.
  • Must have 10-key adding machine experience.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must possess good guest service skills.
  • Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs.
