When you join the Flood Risk management team within our Water Management Consultancy, we’ll trust you to own your projects and drive your own development. You’ll make a tangible difference to our future in projects we deliver for clients across our markets: buildings & places, energy, water, transportation, security & defence. Enjoy work based in the UK, with opportunities overseas.
Your role: You will be primarily involved in technical work such as Data analysis, Hydraulic modelling, Hydrology, GIS, and Technical reporting. You will work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with environmental scientists, engineers, and planners, and provide a consistent service to clients. You may also be asked to help support business development activities, including tendering for projects and client/stakeholder engagement.
About you: A degree in Geography, Science, or Civil Engineering. Some working knowledge or experience of 1D-2D hydraulic modelling using any of Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM or a strong desire to learn more. GIS skills or a desire to learn. Some experience in carrying out flood risk analyses for planning, development, and design. Some experience in carrying out a hydrological assessment, or a strong desire to learn. You should be self-driven and committed to achieving technical excellence. Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication are essential for collaborative work. You must have a strong desire to learn, work with others. You should have a strong desire to learn and innovate across various challenges, be able to develop new approaches to a wide range of problems, as well as take on new challenges and learn new skills. You should be well-organized and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously. A desire to consistently work to high standards is crucial.
