The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Shopper Marketing Specialist for our Consumer Business Group you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. You will have the opportunity to work with some of our iconic brands, including Scotch™, Post‑it®, Scotch‑Brite®, Filtrete®, Command®, Nexcare™, Meguiar’s®, and Futuro™, leading trade promotion strategies and tactics. This role aligns trade investments with prioritised portfolios, customers and channels.
- Leading the creation, execution and measurement of a Shopper Marketing Plan for assigned customers or channels.
- Building relationships with key marketing personnel at your accounts and being highly collaborative with 3M sales and marketing teams.
- Evaluating promotional effectiveness of various marketing tactics by setting and tracking the most relevant KPIs.
- Ensuring successful new product launches by implementing effective sales tools for NPI, Sampling, Promotions, and events.
- Working closely with Area Marketing center to ensure impactful marketing materials and messages at point of purchase online or offline.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field or equivalent industry experience.
- Previously demonstrated combined experience in sales, marketing, analytics or category management in the consumer packaged goods industry.
- Analytical thinking skills, and proficiency in Excel.
- Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
Additional knowledge / nice‑to‑have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
- Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional teams.
- Previous experience in a shopper marketing, eCommerce, or advanced analytics role.
Job specifics
- Location – This role has an on‑site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the 3M office in Bracknell, Berkshire.
- Travel expectations – May include up to 10% domestic covering defined sales territory.
- Working pattern – full time.
- Remuneration details – £high‑reaching dependent on skills and experience plus excellent benefits package.
